Job Duties & Responsibilities

1.Work closely with Functional Safety Manager, product design and development teams to ensure ISO26262 (Functional Safety) standards are implemented through projects lifecycles

2.Collaborate with the Functional Safety Manager to develop Functional Safety concepts, plans, and with obtaining road approvals for volume production

3.Conduct change and problem analysis to refine, verify and report results of system safety requirements

4.Review and seek approval for safety case, safety plan road approval for volume production from Functional Safety Manager

5.Conduct FMEA and FTA in support of development of the safety concept and safety strategy

6.Verification of suitable completion of Safety Case work products: Checking interfaces, ensuring appropriate progress and verification of safety requirements

7.Support project teams on process and methods elements of ISO26262 across regions and locations

8.Support Application Development team in development, planning and execution of validation testing

 

Job  Qualifications & Experience Needed

 

1.Bachelor’s in Engineering (Preferred in Electrical/Software/Mechanical Engineering)

2. 3+ years working with functional safety-standards like ISO26262, IEC61508, etc.

3.Knowledge of Power Train System

4.Knowledge of Motor Types

5.Knowledge of Motor Control Algorithms

6.Knowledge of Motor Power Electronics (i.e. Inverter)

7.Knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics

8.Knowledge of System Modeling Tools (i.e. Simulink/SimScape) is a Plus

9.Excellent project and planning abilities

10.Superior interpersonal, communications and listening skills

11.Strong drive for teamwork with a customer-oriented approach to projects

12.Strong problem solving and analytical skills

13.Experience in application of Functional Safety Standard: ISO26262 and Safety Case work products required
